”Art Studio”
Cardboard, Mat Board, Tissue, Wood
28”Wx20”Hx18”D

Built form to be drawn within under the influence of different types of light. I studied how to isolate light and regulate the allowance of light. I placed my form within the ground following Zaha Hadid how he buried Messner Mountain Museum in the ground. The art studio I constructed, influenced by Hadid’s work, is only fully viewable and understandable after visually traveling all the way through the form from every angle. Areas within the form are influenced by light, which changes based on the time of day.

I created an ovoid shape with limited materials. Using scaled down positive and negative spaces this fishlike form when turned on its side looks as if it can be walked through. It is a model for a grand scale futuristic architectural structure that creates beautiful cast shadows.
“Mind Pulls at Reality”
Balsa Wood, Yarn, Mannequin, Iridescent Paper

The extreme density of yarn represents wavelength frequencies behind the mannequin and a dramatic change of mass flowing through the body leading to the peeled corner of the box conveying the subliminal message of how the brain flows within, and how it is interconnected with the body.

Contemporary representation of CRF250R exhaust header pipe. The organic curvature of the pipe is shown through the bent form I assembled in this additive sculpture. The form was constructed using a “Lincoln Log” stacking approach then spray painted red and speckled with white for surface texture.
